Dear friends.,
Yes, we had an unplanned trip to Bangkok for 2 weeks, visited my sister of whom taken seriously ill at the hospital in BKK. It was rather shocking and stressful to see once, a very smart lady reduced into a state she is now by cancer.
Sorry, I did not have much time to spare while in BKK for any other things. I managed to speak on the phone with K. Poungtip once, and a couple of times with K. Sontaya. I did try to call K. Maeo but without success, perhaps her phone has been changed as it said the number I called her was unavailable!
I should have gone to join the 80th, Mutitajit for Arjan Dr. Suwatana, but only read about the event sent by K. Sontaya via email to me only an hour prior to the event started! Also that very same afternoon, we were already arranged to be picked up to visit my sister too. Otherwise, I'd loved to be there too.
The flight that we booked came with a free internal flight in Thailand, so I managed and gave Emmie a break in Phuket for few days before we returned back to UK.
Peewarong (K. Sontaya's son) came and had dinner with us once at the hotel we stayed in BKK. Guess what!!! On our flight TG 916 back from BKK to London, Peewarong was one of the pilots who flown us back home and during the flight, he came and had a chat with us at our seats too! :-) Not just a pride to K. Sontaya & Ying, I must say that, he is a credit to the Thai Airline too! His flying skills is impressive! We had a great flight back with hardly any turbulances and the landing at LHR was as smooth as silk! :-)
Well, Khun Maeo., Our children are far from happy and do not want us to retire and live in the Philippines due to many numbers of powerful typhoons and natural disasters over there each year, so we may not do that now but just going there to visit Emmie's family once in a while. They are not too happy about the political unstable in Thailand either,...therefore, our plan has now changed and we may be moving to live in Wales instead for our retirement next year. We will still be visiting Thailand regularly as always.
K. Poungtip, please do look after yourself well. Tell your knee to behave itself and go out and enjoy yourself a bit more, ok? :-)
K. Sontaya & Ying., With regard to my sister, we are still playing by ear and it is likely that we shall be back in BKK again shortly. If it is feasible, we will be seeing you in Chiang Mai with our next visit too, ok?
Other friends,... I hope you are all well and happy and best wishes to you all.
Best regards to you all.
Take care,
